ERP:

The gold-standard, evidence-based therapy for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

At New Habits Consulting, we use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) integrated with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals with OCD face their fears, reduce compulsions, and build a life guided by their values—not their anxiety.

ERP involves gradually and safely facing feared thoughts or situations (exposures) while resisting the urge to perform compulsions (responses). Over time, this reduces anxiety and breaks the cycle of OCD. ERP is highly effective for children and adults and tailored to each individual’s fears and needs.

“I can't say enough great things about Andrew! He was an integral part of my daughters journey to get her tics under control. Andrew is very communicative, incredibly easy to work with, and professional. He explains things in a way that both adults and children can understand. CBIT therapists are super hard to find in this area, and we found a gem in Andrew. If you have the unfortunate need for a therapist for tics, don't hesitate to reach out to Andrew. You will not be disappointed.” - Kristal S.
